I love working with beautiful gemstones and crystal beads. I love creating healing jewellery for people and hearing how much they enjoy wearing them, and how they make them feel. Sometimes though, I feel like people try to take advantage of my love for these things. I know I'm not the only creative person who feels this way.

When we can see the good things within our lives and be grateful for them instead of looking at the things that may cause us sorrow or pain, it causes an immediate attraction to more of the good. We find more things that bring us joy and more reasons to be grateful.
When all that we see are things that we don't like - that cause us pain or sorrow - the attraction is still there and we will bring more of the same to us.
To be grateful ALL ways, is to bring

These almond coconut chocolate chip cookies were the result of a recipe made up with left over almond pulp (from my home made almond milk). I was originally hoping for a firmer texture, as they actually turned out quite soft, moist and a tiny bit chewy. They were full of flavour and tasted absolutely delicious, so I wasn't disappointed at all!
These cookes are both gluten free and dairy free and make a nice little healthy treat when in need of a

I make my own almond milk and am forever trying to find new ways of using up the almond pulp. This is just one of them. When I found this recipe (from My New Roots) my first thought was, "Great, I've got tahini to use up, so I'll make this hummus straight away!" Unfortunately, I couldn't find the tahini anywhere but I did find a packet of sesame seeds ......
So first, I made my own tahini - who knew it was so easy?!!! Then ...... I used

Throughout my childhood, I was different to most others. There were people who belonged in the "cool" groups, the "clever" groups, the "popular" groups, the "tough" groups etc, but I didn't fit into any of these categories. I was simply just me and was never comfortable with labels anyway.
As an adult, I'm still just me. However, people still want to put a label around my neck and fit me neatly into a box of some kind.

People often talk to me about having lots of things that they "have to" do. They tell me that they've got "to-do" lists that are miles long and that are often filled with things that are silly or shouldn't be there.
My first suggestion is always to delete the "silly", or "shouldn't be there" items. The reaction is always a laugh, then .... "but I have to because ....."
So how can you feel better about getting

Since I began my Reiki journey, I have realised the importance of "living for today" much more than I ever did before. Too many of us get caught up with little worries that are part of our daily lives, always something to do or think about or plan etc. etc....... We can got so bogged down that we forget about what is going on around us at the time - the actual day to day living that we should be making the most of. Let's face it - once today is gone, we can

Some years ago now, when I came across this jam recipe from thankfulexpressions.blogspot.com, I just had to try it, especially as I happened to have all the ingredients on hand and I LOVE using chia seeds. They are so easy to cook with and have so many nutrients, they really should be in everyone's kitchen pantry!
