What are Anniversary Gemstones?
Anniversary gemstones are stones or crystals that relate to anniversaries. People often give anniversary gemstones as gifts to celebrate special occasions.
Anniversaries don't have to be limited to wedding anniversaries, they can also be attached to any occasion, such as weddings, birthdays, and any other event that is related to a specific date and time.

There are the traditional anniversary gemstones, however there are also some alternative anniversary gemstones that are also popular. You will see that there are a couple of precious metals that also relate to anniversary dates.
1st Anniversary Gemstone is Mother Of Pearl
Mother Of Pearl is the traditional gemstone for a 1st Anniversary. It is most often found in a creamy white colour, although it is also found in its natural colourings. An alternative 1st Anniversary gemstone is Pearl.
2nd Anniversary Gemstone is Garnet

5th Anniversary Gemstone is Sapphire

7th Anniversary Gemstone is Onyx
Onyx is the traditional gemstone for a 7th Anniversary. Black Onyx is extremely popular amongst men & women alike. Onyx encourages happiness and good fortune. An alternative 7th Anniversary gemstone is Lapis Lazuli.
8th Anniversary Gemstone is Tourmaline
Tourmaline is the traditional gemstone for an 8th Anniversary. The many varied colours of Tourmaline make it an extremely popular choice. It is most commonly black, but can range from brown, violet, green, pink, or the dual-coloured watermelon tourmaline which is pink and green. Tourmaline aids in understanding oneself and others. 9th Anniversary Gemstone is Lapis Lazuli

11th Anniversary Gemstone is Turquoise

17th Anniversary Gemstone is Carnelian

55th Anniversary Gemstone is Emerald

60th Anniversary Gemstone is Diamond

70th Anniversary Gemstone is Sapphire

80th Anniversary Gemstone is Ruby
Ruby is the traditional gemstone for a 80th Anniversary. A popular anniversary stone for a 40th Anniversary, Ruby appears again for the 80th Anniversary. Its ability to encourage passion and a zest for life, also encourages joy and confidence.
