Some of my happiest times are spent with family.  I have just come back from a lovely holiday in Les Gets (French Alps).  We stayed in a chalet run by Jim & Cat of Pure Mountain Holidays for a week of fresh air and relaxation.

Our days were filled with walks, drives & picnics by lakes and on mountain tops.  A wonderful time spent together away from the day to day hustle & bustle of work, school etc. etc....

Some time ago, I wrote about living life as it comes.  Well, this holiday was no different.  We didn't plan anything, just went with the flow and made the most of whatever opportunities came our way....  How many families can say they spent one afternoon playing Monopoly together and the next jumping off the top of a mountain, seeing magnificent views of a snow covered Mont Blanc, as well as Lake Geneva, whilst para-gliding back down?
 

OK, so the holiday wasn't ALL relaxation - but how can you turn down the chance of that type of exhilaration when it is put in front of you?  When something like this is shared, it becomes so much more worthwhile.  Memories of smiles are made of times like these with family, and we are all much closer because of them.

Life really is a beautiful adventure - make the most of every minute - preferably shared! :)
