Purchasing
To make a purchase at Charms Of Light, simply click on the "Add to basket" or "Purchase" buttons to add your choices to the shopping basket. If there are more items you wish to purchase, you can keep shopping by clicking on the "Keep Shopping" button. You can view your shopping basket at any time. When you have completed your shopping, click on the "Checkout" button. You can then choose your payment and shipping options. Payment is accepted by credit card, cheque (UK customers & GBP £ only) or postal order (GBP £ only).
Please note: Each separate order will be packaged and posted separately.
To purchase a Charms Of Light Gift Certificate, go to "Gift Certificates". Fill in the amount you would like to spend and the name of the recipient. Then use the "Add to Basket" button to add the certificate to your shopping basket. You will then be able to pay for all your items together.
Contact me for your commissions/custom-made/bespoke requirements. A small non-refundable deposit may be required on commssion orders. Once an order has been created to the customers' satisfaction, payment of the balance must be made within 7 working days or the item may be added to the website for sale to the public.
Once a purchase has been made, your email address will be subscribed to the Caryl's Newsletter. Only the name and email address that were given with your order will be used on this list. You can unsubscribe to this list at any time.
PAYMENT
All payments are accepted in GBP £ only.
All Customers: There are two options to choose from when making your payment.
- You can make your payment by credit or debit card. I use an SSL Certificate which enables encryption of sensitive information during online transactions. You can be confident that all information given is safe and secure.
- You can make your payment through PayPal Express. For PayPal account holders, this is a fast and secure way to make your payment by either credit card or directly from your PayPal account.
UK Customers: If you live in the UK, you can also choose to pay by cheque or postal order in GBP £ only (details will be sent on completion of your order). Please note that cheques will need to be cleared before dispatch of your order which may take up to 7 days.
Overseas Customers: The current exchange rate will be calculated at the time of your purchase and shown with your payment details. You can also use the available International Money Converter.
Shipping & Handling (P&P) - from 1st April 2013
Caryl Haxworth / Charms Of Light uses UK Royal Mail for all shipping requirements. For overseas customers, once your item has left the UK, your package is handed over to your local postal service for delivery. Shipping and handling (P&P) charges include a gift box or bag for each item. A description of the healing properties of each gemstone is also included. All purchases are posted in a padded envelope for extra protection.
I endeavour to post all healing jewellery and healing gift items within 3 days (usually sooner) of receiving confirmed payment (Monday to Friday), with the exception of custom orders, which may take longer.
* I recommend you choose the option that includes insurance, as Royal Mail will not compensate gemstone jewellery or gemstone gift items that are lost or damaged in the mail, without full insurance coverage.
Please Note: Caryl Haxworth / Charms Of Light will not be held liable for any loss or damage to your goods in the post, so please choose your shipping options carefully.

UK: There are three choices of postage within the UK.
- Special Delivery™: This is charged at a flat rate of £6.95 GBP (no matter how many items you order) for each separate delivery address. A signature is required on receipt. A Royal Mail tracking number is provided with this option which includes insurance and is recommended for all orders. Your order is guaranteed (by Royal Mail) to arrive by 1pm the following working day (not Saturday or Sunday) after posting.
- Signed For™: This is charged at a flat rate of £4.10 GBP (no matter how many items you order) for each separate delivery address. A signature is required on receipt. A Royal Mail tracking number is provided with this option, however it does not include insurance*. Please allow 1-5 working days for delivery from date of despatch.
- 1st Class Mail: This is charged at a flat rate of £3.00 GBP for each separate delivery address. This option does not include insurance*, cannot be tracked and does not require a signature. Please allow 1-5 working days for delivery from date of despatch.
Europe: There are two choices of postage for destinations in Europe.
- International Signed For™: This is the recommended shipping option and is automatically charged at a rate dependent on the value of the order. For items up to £49.99 GBP, shipping is £8.80 GBP for each separate delivery address. For items valued £50 GBP and over, shipping is £11.40 GBP for each separate delivery address. A Royal Mail tracking number is provided with this option and insurance is included. Your package will be sent by Airmail and a signature is required on receipt. Please allow 4-7 working days for delivery from date of despatch.
- Standard Airmail: This is charged at a flat rate of £3.50 GBP for each separate delivery address. This option does not include insurance*, cannot be tracked and does not require a signature. Please allow 4-7 working days for delivery from date of despatch.
USA / Canada / New Zealand: There are three choices of postage for destinations to the USA, Canada & New Zealand.
- Airsure®: This is one of the recommended shipping options and is automatically charged at a rate dependent on the value of the order. For items up to £49.99 GBP, shipping is £10.10 GBP for each separate delivery address. For items valued £50 GBP and over, shipping is £12.70 GBP for each separate delivery address. A Royal Mail tracking number is provided with this option and insurance is included. Your package will be sent by Airmail and can be tracked right up until delivery abroad. No signature is required. Please allow 5-10 working days for delivery from date of despatch.

International Signed For™: This is one of the recommended shipping options and is automatically charged at a rate dependent on the value of the order. For items up to £49.99 GBP, shipping is £10.00 GBP for each separate delivery address. For items valued £50 GBP and over, shipping is £12.60 GBP for each separate delivery address. A Royal Mail tracking number is provided with this option and insurance is included. Your package will be sent by Airmail and can be tracked until it leaves the UK. A signature is required on receipt. Please allow 5-10 working days for delivery from date of despatch.
- Standard Airmail: This is charged at a flat rate of £4.70 GBP for each separate delivery address. This option does not include insurance*, cannot be tracked and does not require a signature. Please allow 5-10 working days for delivery from date of despatch.

- International Signed For™: This is the recommended shipping option and is automatically charged at a rate dependent on the value of the order. All Orders
In the case of any fully insured package being damaged or lost in the post, Caryl Haxworth will make a claim of compensation from Royal Mail on your behalf. Once the loss or damage has been confirmed by Royal Mail, and not before this time, a reimbursement of your costs will be made. I appreciate your understanding.
