Materials
With all Charms Of Light Healing Gemstone Jewellery creations, I prefer to use the best quality materials I can find.
These are the only materials used in my jewellery designs:
Silver
Sterling Silver: .925 silver.
Tibetan Silver: A silver alloy made up of silver, copper and zinc.
Gold
9ct Gold: 37.5% pure gold.
14ct Gold Filled or Gold Fill: A layer of gold which is bonded by heat and pressure to a base metal core (usually brass or copper). The term “Gold Filled” can only be used when the amount of gold used equals one-twentieth of the total weight of the piece. 14ct Gold Filled (or Gold Fill) is referred to as 14/20 G.F. The first number is the carat of the gold layer, the second refers to the amount by weight of the gold in relation to the base layer. Gold Fill represents a valuable, yet affordable option to carat gold.
Beading Wire
Bracelets and necklaces are beaded with "Beadalon". This is an excellent bead stringing material made from stainless steel wires that are coated with nylon, enabling strength and flexibility.
